Over one hundred twenty-five Nazarene Evangelists and their spouses gathered from all over the United States at the beautiful Oakwood Retreat Center in Syracuse, IN for the annual Evangelists’ Gathering, December 11-13.   Drs. Moody and Nina Gunter preached from their hearts, giving everyone uplifting messages for the day in which we live.   Adam’s Voice (David and Charlene Adams; Jeremy Fox) sang inspirational music in all three sessions and was joined by an outstanding pianist, Chuck Sinclair from Ellkhart, IN.  We praise God that He is using these young people to present the message of salvation through music, some of which was written by Charlene Adams herself.

The DVD, Everyday Creativity, was shown to all the evangelists and their spouses in the Tuesday morning session.   Dr. Gene Tanner, pastor of the Valparaiso Church of the Nazarene, followed this DVD with some very thought provoking ideas to help evangelists be on the cutting edge in today’s society.   A great time of fun and fellowship was had by all in the Tuesday night “After Blow” with Jimmy Dell and his band.

Next year’s Evangelists’ Gathering will be held at Oakwood Retreat Center in Syracuse, IN December 10-12, 2007.  Our musicians will be The Sharpe Family Singers.  Our speaker for next year's Gathering will be announced shortly.
